Lindsay Lohan may be doing the rounds to promote the long-awaited sequel to her Freaky Friday remake (yes, youngsters, it's a remake), Freakier Friday, but her latest in a vast, stylish array of premiere and TV-appearance looks is a nod to another one of her beloved Disney remakes, The Parent Trap.

Lohan has been going super-glam for the Freakier Friday red carpets over the last week, wearing two different shades of pink gowns. But for an appearance on Good Morning America bright and early Monday morning, the actor pivoted to a preppy look, wearing a yellow, plaid, tweed miniskirt suit that, at first glance, might strike you as something straight out of Clueless. But lift your eyes to Lohan's hair and another reference becomes very apparent—at least to millennials.

There, atop Lohan's head, is a yellow headband. And even though she's traded in her signature red hair for golden blonde, the look immediately brings up memories of when she played long-lost twins Annie and Hallie in 1998's The Parent Trap.

Although Lohan's headband is a solid yellow, she channels the yellow plaid pattern of Annie's headband into her ensemble, so it's simply reminiscent and not completely on-the-nose. Even the headband width and placement are perfect tributes to that adorable Parent Trap look.

If you were on the fence about the yellow trend and unsure how to work it into your look, let 1998 and 2025 Lindsay Lohan serve as inspiration and grab yourself a structured, sleek, yellow headband for your summer-to-fall transition. We love the Emi Jay Starlet Headband for a subtle way to work the shade into your style.
